1. Responsibility, Use, and Disclaimer of Warranties
You (the Renter) are fully responsible for the use, operation, and possession of all rented items.
You assume all risks inherent to the rented equipment.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold My Event Rentals harmless from any claims for property damage, bodily injury, or death — even if caused in whole or in part by My Event Rentals’ negligence or defective equipment.
No warranties (expressed or implied), including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are given.
2. Equipment Failure
If any rented item becomes unsafe or in disrepair, you must immediately stop using it and notify My Event Rentals within one hour.
My Event Rentals will, at its discretion, repair the item, provide a replacement (if available), or adjust rental charges.
This does not relieve you of any obligations under the contract.
My Event Rentals is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from equipment failure or defects of items if reasonable measures are not taken by you “the Renter”.
3. Use of Equipment
You confirm you have the ability to perform safe operation of the equipment rented (or have informed My Event Rentals that you are experienced).
Equipment may only be used at the address listed on the contract and only for its intended manufactured purpose.
Subleasing or improper use is prohibited.
You agree you have read all instruction manuals, operating instructions, and warnings whether or not they have been provided by My Event Rentals. You agree that you will contact us with any concerns or questions if they may arise.
4. Equipment Responsibility & Risk of Loss
You are responsible for the equipment from the time of possession until it is returned.
You assume the entire risk of loss, theft, damage, or destruction (regardless of cause).
If items are lost, stolen, or damaged, you must pay the full cost of repair or replacement, including labor.
You will pay a reasonable cleaning charge for items returned dirty.
5. Time of Return & Late Returns
Your right of possession ends at the expiration of the rental period.
Time is of the essence. Any extension must be agreed to in writing.
Items must be returned during regular business hours, on or before the due date.
Late returns are charged at the full rental rate until items are returned.
6. Payment Terms
All charges are payable in advance.
You are responsible for all additional costs incurred.
Past-due amounts (after 10 days) may be recalculated daily and carry a 10.0% per month service charge.
You agree to pay all collection costs, court costs, and attorney fees.
Payment is due 7 days prior to your event and 50% down at time of booking unless explicitly stated otherwise.
7. Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A 50% partially refundable deposit is required at reservation (unless otherwise agreed).
If no deposit was taken, you are still responsible for a 25% cancellation fee of the total original rental order (including delivery/pickup).
If canceled within 15 days of the scheduled date: 100% of the ENTIRE deposit is not refunded for lost booking fee
50% of Deposits are forfeited upon any cancellation at any time regardless of timeframe.
100% of Deposits are forfeited if cancelled within 30 days of your event.
After Final Payment is made there are no refunds for cancellation. (If events need rescheduled a fee of 25% + Rescheduling fee will apply if available)
8. Delivery & Pickup
You must clean and repackage items in original packaging when possible.
Pickup occurs at a time and accessible location designated by My Event Rentals.
You must have personnel available to assist with loading.
Extra trips due to renter issues will incur service charges.
9. Care of Equipment
Protect items from weather, theft, loss, breakage, or unauthorized use.
Pay reasonable cleaning charges for dirty returns.
10. Insurance
You must maintain liability, property, and casualty insurance at your expense to fully protect My Event Rentals.
All insurance proceeds must be assigned to My Event Rentals.
11. Site Preparation, Permits & Licenses
You are responsible for having the site clean, level, and ready for delivery/installation or pickup.
You must obtain, at your own expense, all necessary permits and licenses (including for tents) before installation.
You must locate all underground utilities (Call 811) prior to delivery.
My Event Rentals is not responsible for damage to underground sprinkler systems.
12. Hold Harmless Agreement
You agree to hold My Event Rentals and its staff harmless from all claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
Delivery, installation, dismantling, or use of the equipment
Underground utilities or site conditions
Any injury or damage during use (including inflatables and games)
13. Damage Waiver (Optional)
If purchased, the Damage Waiver relieves you of liability for accidental damage, fire, windstorm, etc.
Exclusions: Theft, misuse, abuse, intentional damage, or failure to care for equipment.
14. Returned Checks
$35.00 fee for any returned check.
